9mm Largo Ammunition Test
The ammunition was tested on March 26, 2000 in Harmony, ME, at Surplus International LLCs facility. Information was gathered by Dan Shea. Chronograph was a Dillon Millenium.

All cartridges tested out satisfactory. Test firearms were: 1921 Astra 5.5" bbl, Star Super 5.25" bbl, Destroyer Carbine 17" bbl, and Star Z-45 submachine gun 7.75" bbl.
1962 dated boxes: included some 1961 dated cartridge cases, but were primarily 1962. This ammunition used corrosive Berdan primers and will require cleaning of the firearms after use with a cleaner that counteracts the corrosive chemicals. Packaged 25 per cdbd box, 1000 rds per sealed steel can in wood cs.
1969 dated boxes: cartridges are 1967 to69 dated, and were non-corrosive, using Berdan primers. This ammunition was the most consistent on the chronograph, and the most accurate. Packaged 25 per cdbd box, 1000 rds per sealed steel can in wood cs.
1977 dated boxes: cartridge cases are mid 1970s dated, mostly 1977. The boxes are marked "No corrosivo, no erosivo" and the cartridges are non corrosive, Berdan primed. Packaged 25 per cdbd box, 2000 rds per sealed steel can in wood cs.
